Contract C#/.NET Engineer – NYC – Up to $2,000/day

A leading Hedge Fund is seeking an elite C#/.NET Engineer to join their technology team for a long-term contract engagement. You will play a critical role in a high-performance application migration from .NET Framework to .NET Core, working on complex, latency-sensitive systems used in global trading operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute migration from .NET Framework to .NET Core.
  • Design, build, and optimise high-performance C# applications.
  • Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and other engineers to deliver low-latency, scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and performance tuning.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record building high-performance, low-latency C# applications in financial services or similarly demanding environments.
  • Deep knowledge of .NET Core and .NET Framework.
  • Strong understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and performance optimisation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Able to work on-site in NYC 3 days per week.

Contract Details:

  • Rate: Up to $2,000/day (depending on experience)
  • Location: New York City (Hybrid – 3 days on-site)
  • Duration: Long-term contract
