Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage local network security plans, including monitoring, auditing, scanning, and implementing intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Maintain standard operating procedures for business continuity, disaster recovery, and security.
- Oversee and maintain network and communication infrastructure in partnership with vendors.
- Manage AWS cloud infrastructure for in-house applications, including AWS firewall configurations and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment automation.
- Contribute to managing a hybrid SOC model.
- Provide user support for both on-premise and remote employees.
- Collaborate effectively within the IT team to drive innovation and efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience
- Network Administration & Cybersecurity: Extensive experience in network administration and cybersecurity.
- Network Security Expertise: Proficiency in implementing and configuring firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and other security measures.
- Advanced Networking Protocols: In-depth understanding of the TCP/IP stack and experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Proven proficiency in AWS for managing firewalls and resources.
- Technical Tools: Hands-on experience with tools like Wireshark, NMap, ICMP, FortiAnalyzer, Cisco Packet Tracer, Kali Linux, Nagios, NetFlow Analyzer, Netstat, SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor, Tcpdump, and Zabbix.
- Vendor Management: Familiarity with vendor management platforms and due diligence principles (preferred).
- Documentation Skills: Strong technical writing and documentation abilities.
Desirable Additional Skills
- Knowledge of AWS CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with automated IaC deployment.
- Familiarity with Mobile Device Management.
