New Job: Operational Resilience Manager (Vice President)

Orbis is partnered with a global leader in the commodities sector, currently seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Manager (Vice President) to join their Risk & Resilience team in London. This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape and strengthen the resilience strategy of a major international firm with complex operations and critical infrastructure.
The Role
This position sits within the Operational Resilience function and plays a pivotal role in identifying and protecting the firm’s most important business services. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the organisation is prepared to prevent, respond to, and recover from operational disruptions—safeguarding both continuity and reputation.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the ongoing mapping of important business services and their associated dependencies across people, processes, technology, facilities, data, and security

Partner with service owners to identify risks and design mitigation strategies

Define and maintain impact tolerance thresholds and resilience testing scenarios, aligned to ISO22301 and regulatory expectations

Coordinate business continuity and crisis management responses, including incident reviews and lessons learned exercises

Serve as the crisis lead during live events and participate in the on-call rota

Produce regular resilience reports and present insights to governance committees and senior stakeholders

Support product and change teams to embed resilience requirements into development lifecycles

Monitor evolving regulatory expectations (FCA, Bank of England, etc.) and provide internal guidance

Act as a subject matter expert on operational resilience across the business
Key Requirements

5+ years’ experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, or Operational Risk

Strong knowledge of UK regulatory standards, including FCA and Bank of England requirements for resilience

Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex scenarios with attention to detail

ISO22301 certification and/or BCI qualification is desirable
