Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid) — Relocation package available

The role:
Lead critical sanctions operations globally in a Compliance/Ops hybrid position, bridging 2nd Line of Defense (2LOD) expertise with 1st Line of Defense (1LOD) leadership. Own sanctions investigations, process improvement, and compliance projects while partnering closely with Compliance and QA teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead global sanctions complex investigations teams

  • Continuously improve sanctions operational processes and policies

  • Drive complex compliance projects as a sanctions SME

  • Partner with QA to enhance quality assurance frameworks

  • Implement effective controls to mitigate risk

  • Represent Operations in risk committees and audits

  • Build strong governance partnerships with Compliance

  • Develop long-term team plans for capability, staffing, and training

What you bring:

  • 3+ years U.S. sanctions experience, including OFAC

  • Deep knowledge of AML, BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and related regulations

  • Strong understanding of risk management and banking compliance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven leadership and ownership mindset

  • Ability to work cross-functionally across geographies and cultures

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Willingness to travel as needed
